What happens on my first appointment

Our podiatrist will complete an assessment record which will include elements of your medical history and then fully examine you feet and make a note of an issues or concerns. Treatment will be tailored to your requirements. Upon completion of the visit which will include immediate treatment a podiatry management plan will be confidentially discussed after which further visits may be recommended.

What can I expect when I receive podiatry treatment?

Each appointment with Manx Home Care Podiatry involves a thorough assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management plan for you. Clear explanations regarding conditions will be given and thorough advice will be provided, this gives chance for discussion and for you to ask questions.

How long are podiatry appointments?

Most appointments will take 30 – 45 minutes.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

No, anyone can refer themselves for treatment. Common sources are self-referrals, referrals from family and carers and referrals from medical professionals. However, if you wish to use your medical insurance to claim for treatment costs, some policies require your GP to authorise this.

Is there a waiting list for podiatry treatment with Manx Home Care?

No. We can usually see you within 24 - 48 hours. Sometimes same-day appointments are available.

Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm .
